Our Space

Jelleyman's Heritage Arts Charity is located in Kidderminster, celebrating the history of an industrial site home to some of the town's important carpet heritage.

Address

JHAC,
Townshend Works,

Puxton Lane,
Kidderminster,
DY11 5DF

Hours

As we're growing and currently run exclusively by volunteers, opening hours vary.

Reach out to us if you'd like to arrange a visit outside of booked activities and events.

Getting here

Main access to the site is via a single track lane which serves two-way traffic. If arriving by car, please drive slowly, be aware of pedestrians and give way to lorries serving the industrial site.

If cycling or on foot, please be aware that Puxton Lane is steep and only has a very narrow footpath on one side of the lane. The site is also accessible by public bridleway KD-504, walking from either Marlpool Lane or Carpet Trades Way.

Parking

There is plenty of free parking opposite the building. The parking area is gravel hardcore.

Visitor Information

We're still a young grassroots charity that relies on volunteers for everyday operations.  There may not always be somebody on hand at reception outside of booked events, so please call ahead if you feel you may require assistance.

As the building is part of an old industrial mill complex, it wasn't built with accessibility in mind. We do however have portable ramps in reception, and an accessible toilet on the ground floor.

Our outside space often surprises people for how secluded and natural is feels alongside the river, despite being an old factory in the centre of town. This wildness comes with uneven ground that can be tricky for those with mobility needs.

Requests, issues and suggestions

If you find an issue, require further assistance, or have a suggestion, you are welcome to contact us. As we don't have any paid staff, only volunteers, we will do the best we can within our current capacity to help.
